居民以梁、郭、卢三姓为主，祖上分别由香山南沙和番禺迁来，属广府民系，使用粤方言中的水上话。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
清道光年间，这里隶新会县潮居都；1941年隶新会县第八区；新中国成立后，这里是新会县第八区（即睦洲区）的三沙乡；1965年划入斗门县上横公社；1985年并入上横镇；2003年归莲洲镇，定名二龙村民委员会。[1]
