历史沿革[edit]
明代末期建村，因村前有寺庙而得名。下辖五个自然村：寺前、老柴桑、新柴桑、桥源和矿塘。[1]
地理环境[edit]
东面与后坪、马渡两村相邻，南与留村、方田接壤，西北与乳源县侯公渡镇交界。[1]
经济[edit]
2008年全村1391人，耕地1500亩，山林17500亩，种植水稻、蔬菜、花生、生姜。受地理条件限制，村集体没有企业，收入主要来自电站管理费3.2万元（含自然村部分）。韶关市水产养殖管理中心落户老柴桑，为村里带来了就业机会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
寺前村获评「2023年广东省卫生村」，命名时间为2024年3月。[1]
