历史沿革[edit]
南宋时建村，起初叫三千村；村民迁居到山岭脚下后，改名山前村。[1]
地理环境[edit]
村北与奇石村隔奇石山岭相邻，南邻续源村，西面与方田的墩头隔分水岭相望。续源河穿村而过，村民分居河的东西两岸。[1]
经济[edit]
2008年全村1413人，均为农民，耕地1350亩（其中水田1050亩），山林3000多亩。种植水稻、蔬菜、果树；淮山、粉葛种植500多亩，是龙归镇“一村一品”的特色品种之一；三华李、柑橘等果树1200多亩。当时村里没有村办企业，工农业总产值也不到500万元。[1]
荣誉[edit]
山前村入选「广东省第三批“百千万工程”典型村镇」，认定时间为2026年3月。[1]
