坳头村是韶关市武江区龙归镇南部的行政村，在京珠高速公路出口以南，东南与曲江区白土镇的苏拱村为邻。^[1]民国将领陈荣机、其子陈华琼均出生于此。^[2]

历史沿革[edit]

坳头在1951年是一个乡，1958年成为大队，1983年又改回乡政府，1986年变为管理区，1998年设村民委员会，2004年随镇划入武江区。^[1]

2008年全村2148人，耕地2100亩，山林7000亩。村民种水稻、冬瓜、莲藕、茨菇、粉葛、马蹄等，其中黑皮冬瓜发展较快，当年经济作物面积达900亩，水稻面积相应减少。村里设有小学和医疗站各一处。^[1]

坳头村获评「2023年广东省卫生村」，命名时间为2024年3月。^[1]

陈荣机，字子略，官至第四军九十师少将副师长，卒于1948年；其长子陈华琼（1914至1968年）毕业于中山大学机械系，从事飞机修造技术工作。^[2]
