金盆村属广州市白云区钟落潭镇，是该镇的一个行政村，位于良太路（X304）两侧，面积约4.5平方公里，其中山地占八成，下分12个村民小组，人口约2500多人，距镇区10公里，村委会设在金盆中路79号。[1]
地名由来[edit]
东有冷水坑、南有长坑窿、西有飞来岭、北有牛屎窿，四面环山围成似盆的丘陵地带，因称金盆。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
1958年9月竹料人民公社下设金盆大队；1961年分为金盆、高东两个大队，1963年复合并；“文革”期间曾称红星大队，70年代曾称金盆乡；1986年改为金盆村村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
引入各类工厂和企业，以工业为主。2020至2022年列入淘宝村名单，2021年12月获广东省卫生村称号。[1]
