经济[edit]
村地处丘陵，引入了花卉和水果种植基地，形成山上种速生荔枝、金桔，水田种稻谷、花生，鱼塘养四大家鱼、塘基养瘦肉型猪的格局。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
大队原驻障岗，1961年名障梅大队；1981年1月梅田与障岗分开，另立梅田大队；1984年改乡；1994年获白云区政府批复，改设为梅田村民委员会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2021年12月获广东省卫生村称号，同年11月获评2020年度“广州名村”。[1]
