大垌村是金鸡镇的一个行政村，村委会设在面积较大的垌面上，故名[1]。村内保存着大垌八角楼、水岩三座屋、挂榜司马第和大垌广居堂等清代建筑[1][3]。

历史沿革[edit]

大垌村设大队始于1974年7月，隶属金鸡公社。1983年大队改设乡，归金鸡区；1986年改为村委会，1989年一度称管理区，1998年复为村委会，此后一直归金鸡镇[2]。

名胜古迹[edit]

大垌八角楼位于下新村，建于光绪三十一年（1905年），是罗定市县级文物保护单位[3][4]。水岩三座屋、挂榜司马第、大垌广居堂三处也都列入罗定市文物保护单位，于2011年2月14日公布[3]。

文化[edit]

2020年，大垌村被打造成云浮市「粤菜师傅名村」[5]。
