红旗村别称旗地，位于彩塘镇政府驻地西侧，处桑浦山中海莲山东麓。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

清光绪五年（1879年），宏安许氏迁来此地开村，村形如一面旗帜，故称旗地。1955年起用红旗农业社之名，村名由此沿用。1958年建红旗大队，1999年起为红旗村民委员会。[1]

经济[edit]

村内耕地900亩，主种水稻和甘薯。近年沙石开采及运输业兴起，全村约八成从事此业。[1]

2026年1月，村获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」。2022年1月，省乡村振兴部门把村列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」创建单位。2020年至2022年，村先后入选淘宝村名单。[1]
