白沙村是英德市英城街道下辖的行政村，与廊步、岩前、江湾、矮山坪、长岭等村以及街道的几个社区相邻。[1]

地名与沿革[edit]

村名的来历是村中多白色的沙质土。[1]

建制几经变动：1952年称坪沙小乡，1958年分出成为白沙大队，1983年转为白沙乡政府，1986年则是白沙村委会，1990年变作白沙管理区，1998年10月7日再度定为白沙村委会，此后沿用至今。[1]

荣誉[edit]

2019年9月，村列入「2018年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位」名单。2023年5月，白沙村的四组与十三组经广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]

发展计划与近况[edit]

五年发展计划提出，白沙村将继续挖掘百年龙舟文化，盘活林地和闲置土地，布局手工业厂房项目，并打造龙舟文化节品牌。[2]

2023年8月15日上午，英城街道的公共服务人员、社工与街道卫生院到村委会开展公益义诊，并宣讲民生政策、防溺水和防电信诈骗知识，累计服务200人次。[3]
