下寨村位于广东省河源市东源县上莞镇，地处镇域南端。从前村中有一座大围寨，村子在南端，取「南为下」之意，因此称作下寨[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

1958年为下寨大队，1983年改为下寨乡，1987年成为下寨管理区，1997年改称下寨村委会。到1999年，村委会的设立经东源县政府批准，名称沿用至今[1][2]。

文化[edit]

2019年10月，下寨村入选「2019年广东省卫生村」名录[1]；2019年9月，下寨村上榜「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单[1]。
