名称由来[edit]
村子位于一座古寨之下，故称下寨[1]。
建制沿革[edit]
1949年后设下寨乡，1958年设下寨大队，1983年设下寨乡政府，1986年设村民委员会；1989年改设大东管理区，1998年设大东村民委员会，博雅地名网称此名称沿用至今，而区划数据中仍作下寨村[1]。
人口与经济[edit]
据博雅地名网所载数字（未注年份），全村276户1198人，耕地514亩，其中水田420亩，山林36000亩，境内有小水电站5座；产业以稻谷、玉米、花生为主。近年修成长溪至东山的公路，全长10公里[1]。
