民国初年隶横岗甲，后为横岗乡；1958年并入思贺大队，1961年另立横岗大队；1983年改设乡政府，1987年起为村民委员会，1991年一度叫管理区办事处，1999年复称横岗村民委员会并沿用至今[1]。
