大田村是东水镇下辖的行政村，村前有大片宽阔平坦的水田，村名由此而来。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国二十年，大田归大坝乡（保）。1941年后归东水乡，解放初仍然。1952年设大田乡，1958年把大田改为管理区，统辖大田、大坝与上坝；1962年改为大田大队，1983年复称大田乡，1987年成为大田管理区办事处，1999年起称大田村村民委员会。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年9月，大田村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。2022年8月，该村被确定为「2022年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位。广东省爱卫会于2023年5月授予大田村「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
