历史沿革[edit]
民国二十年，梅花属坦坪乡（保）。1941年以后归东水乡，解放初仍然。1952年建梅花乡，1962年又成为梅花大队，1987年改为梅花管理区办事处，1999年起设梅花村村民委员会，沿用至今。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
和平人民义勇队交通站旧址在增洞，以伍氏宗祠为交通站，1947年前后用于传送情报。该祠为明代始建的三进建筑，1947年被烧毁，后重修。1983年12月，该旧址被和平县政府列为重点文物保护单位。[2]
文化[edit]
2024年3月，梅花村被命名为「2023年广东省卫生村」。[1]
