历史沿革[edit]
民国二十年，村子所在地属上郎仑乡（保）。1941年以后改由郎仑乡辖，至解放初仍如此。1952年并入马增乡，1958年归长热管理区，1962年成为莫丰大队的一部分。1983年起由莫丰管理区办事处管理。1988年2月，省级民族事务部门同意该村恢复畲族身份。1999年5月起，村民委员会名为增坑村，名称沿用至今。[1]
经济[edit]
2014年7月，农业部把增坑村列为「第四批全国一村一品示范村镇」，所列产品为增坑村皇茶。[1] 东水镇政府网站也提到增坑的「盘皇茶」品牌产业。[2]
文化[edit]
2022年1月，广东省乡村振兴局把增坑村列为「2021年广东省乡村治理示范村」的创建单位。[1]
名胜古迹[edit]
和平县革命文物线索清单中，东水镇增坑村有一处和平人民义勇队驻地旧址，列为未定级。[3]
