自然村是蓝塘镇下辖的一个行政村，这是专名而非泛称：村里有「自背」「下松园」「麻园坎」等地，「园」与「然」谐音，遂称自然。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

自然在1958年编为蓝塘公社的自然大队，1982年前未变。进入八十年代，先在1983年转为乡，1987年称村委会；1989年设管理区，1999年再撤区设自然村民委员会，这一名称保留到现在。[1]

2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单（2019年9月公布）里有该村。[1]

文化[edit]

2019年镇里梳理村庄文化资源时，把客家宗祠文化记在自然村名下；同年的工作计划还提出，布心、南山、大村、石城、自然5村连片打造美丽乡村。[2][3]
