市北村在蓝塘镇，以蓝塘圩为中心，位于圩市以北，故称市北。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
市北1958年在罗塘大队之内；1961年分出单设市北大队，1963年并回罗塘；1987年再从罗塘分出，建市北村委会，1989年设管理区，1999年撤区、成立市北村村委会，此后未变。[1]
市北村是2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位（2019年9月公布），也在「2019年广东省卫生村」名单内（2019年10月公布）。[1]
