嘉元村在蓝塘镇，属镇乡结合区。博雅地名网的村名写作「加元村」，行政区划名录和它自己的沿革说明里则写作「嘉元村」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里1958年属蓝塘公社的加元大队，1982年前没有变化。进入八十年代，先在1983年转为乡，1987年称村委会；1989年设管理区，1999年再撤区设嘉元村民委员会，这一名称保留到现在。[1]
