乌石村在行政上归广东省汕尾市陆丰市南塘镇管辖，是镇内24个行政村委会之一[1]。2026年1月，名列「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

乌石1952年设乡，属第五区（南塘区）；1959年成为乌石大队。1975年从南塘公社划入东桥公社，1983年东桥公社撤销，回归南塘区，同年改称乌石乡；1987年改设村民委员会，属南塘镇；1994年称管理区；1999年复称村委会，名称沿用至今。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

据博雅地名网所载的村情，村委会由乌石、下林两个自然村合成，人口约2700人。当地缺水，农业受到影响，村民一部分务农，一部分外出务工经商；村委会没有固定收入，较大的建设项目要靠在外经商者捐资[1]。
