东涌社区是东涌镇政府所在地的居民委员会，设在东涌村境内，紧邻汕尾市区。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

居委会始设于1979年10月，2003年1月一度撤销，到2011年5月5日重设，一直沿用。[1]

人口[edit]

社区有492户、1788名非农业人口，常住者909人，其中60岁以上300多人。居民以黄姓为主，占一半以上，其次有蔡、陈、田、方等姓，聚居在东涌村的东大、东中、东北、东金、东东、东美六个社。社区没有划定属地管理范围，也没有外来人口。[1]

社区设一个党支部，有党员50名，其中50年以上党龄者11人。[1]
