福庆村在新陂镇西南，南、西两面与先声村相接，下辖35个村民小组。博雅地名网记其在册537户、2061人，总面积3.58平方千米，耕地742亩，主要种水稻。[1]村名取自当地一座古寺福庆寺。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

新中国成立后设福庆乡，1958年公社化时为福庆生产大队，后分出茶塘、福丰两个大队；1963年10月福庆与福民合并，分上、下两片；1979年2月福民再分出。[1]1984年3月改乡人民政府，1989年为管理区办事处，1999年4月称村民委员会。[1]

荣誉[edit]

福庆村在2019年9月列入广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。[1]
