家庄村在新陂镇西南部，西隔省道225线与新元村相望，下辖55个村民小组。博雅地名网记其在册1046户、4014人，总面积3.01平方千米，耕地1323亩，主要种水稻。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名沿用罗氏祖屋“家庄围”的屋名。[1]1951年设家庄乡，1958年为家庄大队；1961年拆成家庄、上新市、下新市3个大队，1963年又合为一个，1979年重新拆开，1984年撤社改区时又合为家庄乡，1987年改村委员，1989年称管理区，1999年定名家庄村委会。[1]

名胜古迹[edit]

馨梓围又名康记，俗称“解放围”，是村中的三堂二横四角碉楼围龙屋，右侧另有四横屋。[2][3]据百度百科，围屋由李氏梓馨之妻饶夫人带4个儿子建造，1929年动工，历时13年；坐东南朝西北，有房71间、厅堂10个。[3]建筑占地4459平方米，面阔89.9米、进深58.5米。[2]2009年8月10日，兴宁市公布其为“兴宁十大古民居”之一；2011年又被评为梅州市市级客家古民居。[3]
