乐仙村在新陂镇西部，西面与五华县新桥相邻，下辖34个村民小组。博雅地名网记其在册916户、3698人，总面积9.59平方千米，耕地1512亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名有一则传说：古时有仙人要把山坑附近形似鲤鱼的山钓起，堵住坑口以改风水，坐在石上垂钓，石上留下了他坐过的印痕，后人遂称该处“落仙坑”；客家话“落”“乐”同音，写成乐仙坑，后来定为乐仙村。[1]1961年设乐仙、河南、河北3个大队，1963年河南、河北合为河南大队，1984年河南并入乐仙，成乐仙管理区，1989年称管区办事处，1999年改称村委会。[1]

经济[edit]

水稻是主要作物，特产为腐竹。[1]乐仙腐竹的制法，据说在1907年由本村戴洪招自龙川学来并加以改进，2014年列入梅州市非物质文化遗产名录。[2]
