新金村在新陂镇北部，北邻叶塘镇彭陂村，下辖30个村民小组。博雅地名网记其在册776户、2893人，总面积2.26平方千米，耕地1363亩，主要种水稻。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
金岭、新西两个大队合并后，各取“金”“新”一字，名为新金。[1]1961年5月以前，这里属新岭大队，6月新岭大队分出侧桥、长岭、新西、金岭4个大队；1963年10月金岭与新西合并为新金大队；1984年3月改乡人民政府，1987年4月称管理区办事处，1999年4月改称村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
新金村种丝苗米，2020年8月列在广东省农业农村厅公布的第一批专业村名单中；2019年9月，又列入广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。[1]
