华新村在新陂镇东北，北面与叶塘镇岳桥、甘塘两村相邻，下辖39个村民小组。博雅地名网记其在册807户、3188人，总面积1.94平方千米，耕地857亩，主要种水稻。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村名由华新、新甘两片各取一字而成。[1]公社化的1958年，小河背一带称跃进管理区，次年9月并入米寨大队。1961年5月新星大队从中分出，新兴、下甘一带则叫新甘大队，到1963年10月，华星与新甘合在一起，成为华新大队。[1]此后1984年4月改乡人民政府，1989年9月为管理区办事处，1999年4月改称村委会。[1]
荣誉[edit]
华新村在2019年9月列入广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。[1]
