茶塘村在新陂镇政府西南，省道225线穿村而过，邻近国道205线和兴宁城区，下辖23个村民小组。博雅地名网记其在册516户、1880人，总面积0.62平方千米，耕地620亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村子过去分上茶塘、下茶塘两处，后来合称茶塘村。[1]1958年公社化时为茶塘大队，1968年为大队革命委员会，1984年改乡人民政府，1989年称管理区，1999年改称村委会。[1]1958年，国务院曾给茶塘村颁发“全国农村先进合作社”的称号。[2]
