历史沿革[edit]
新中国成立前属兴宁县福塘区福庆堡；成立后与福庆、福丰、茶塘、洋岗等地同属福庆乡。[1]1954年境内有光辉、新华两个初级合作社，1956年并为高级社；1958年属福庆大队，1961年分出福民大队，1963年又并回福庆，1979年再次分出。[1]
荣誉[edit]
福民村在2019年9月列入广东省2018年度民主法治示范村（社区）创建单位。[1]
