先声村在新陂镇西面，四面环山，一条河出村，西与五华县华城接壤，村委会设在坪塘伯公下，离镇政府约8公里。广梅汕铁路和国道205线从村边经过。下辖33个村民小组，在册707户、2840人，总面积10.6平方千米，耕地729亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
此地原名仙坑，明代曾姓人家迁来后改称曾坑；约明永乐十五年（1417年），陈姓的陈伦公落居，子孙繁盛，曾姓逐渐迁往叶塘等地。[1]新中国成立后，以客家话谐音把“曾坑”写成“先声”，取先声夺人之意。[1]1961年成立先声大队，1981年1月起归长岭公社管辖。[1]
荣誉[edit]
2026年1月，先声村获评广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村。[1]
