河口村属梅州市五华县河东镇管辖，是镇内的一个行政村[1]。博雅地名网所载村情介绍（未注年份）称，该村分20个村民小组，在册982户，人口5045人，耕地约2360亩[1]。

历史沿革[edit]

河口的村民委员会设于1999年。更早时，河东镇下设过河口管理区（1989年）；1978年它是公社下的一个乡；1958年称水寨公社河口大队；新中国成立初则归龙胶乡管辖。[1]
