博雅地名网记载的村名来历是：清代这里常有姓氏之间的械斗，青壮年上阵，老人就在家中供奉大帝，口念「平安」，祈求保佑，村名取「保安」。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

这里原属大埔角，1961年单独建保安大队，隶枫朗公社，1978年转属大埔角公社；1986年成为枫朗镇的保安村，1998年起由村民委员会管理。[1]
