上木村在枫朗镇东南部，设14个村民小组，在册333户、1528人，耕地891亩，主要种水稻。该村在2019年6月公布的第五批中国传统村落名录之列。^[1]^[2]

村名的说法是：古时村子四周树木成林、中间低洼如窖，叫木窖村，后分出上、下两个木窖，此处在上段，故称上木。^[1]

历史沿革[edit]

据博雅地名网，明朝正统年间，先人从福建宁化迁来建村，习惯上叫木窖村。清康熙三年（1664年）发生「木窖乡之难」，村民因触犯总兵吴六奇，几乎被杀光，吴六奇下令把「木窖」改为「沐教」。^[3]

明代属清远都黄兰社，清代属兰沙甲沐教村，民国称沐教乡。1952年称上木乡，1958年10月成枫朗公社沐教大队，1963年分出上沐大队，1973年改属双溪公社；1980年恢复上木之名，1986年12月起称双溪乡上木村委会，1998年复设村民委员会，2003年随双溪镇并入枫朗镇。^[3]

百度百科记载，村里保留着明末清初传下来的迎官爷习俗，每年农历正月二十举行庆典。村里有侨胞分布在东南亚及欧美，旅居泰国的黄安佑曾捐建学校并设教育基金。村域内的石崖头风景区被称作「小黄山」。^[2]

安贞楼为清代古建筑，是第十二批大埔县文物保护单位。^[1]
