坑头村在龙江镇，1961年起属路溪公社坑头大队，1999年5月改称坑头村[2]。

历史沿革[edit]

1949年9月，这里属第二区路溪乡，1951年12月为第五区的陈禾洞乡，1958年10月成为平陵公社的陈禾洞大队[2]。1961年，坑头大队设在路溪公社之下；1984年3月起叫何坑头乡；其后1987年3月改设村民委员会，1989年10月起称管理区，村名到1999年5月才定下来[2]。

2019年9月，坑头村列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单[1]。
