名称与沿革[edit]
社区所在地在河坝的末端，故称坝尾。1992年4月6日自原居委会拆分，成立坝尾居民委员会，2001年5月改称坝尾社区居民委员会。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
社区东连前进、红星，南接南四、上塘，西靠淡环村，北临淡水河，面积约1平方公里。该页写到，辖区人口7320人，其中常住4004人，沿街商业网点三百余家，是行政、商业、餐饮、服务业较集中的地带；辖区内有淡水第三小学和尧岭派出所等单位。[2]
2006年至2008年，社区先后获得惠阳区文明社区、惠州市文明社区以及省级“六好”平安和谐社区等荣誉。2025年11月，列入「广东省未来社区（完整社区）建设试点」名单。[1][2]
