南四社区位于淡水街道繁华地段，居民委员会成立于1987年，因靠近原南四路而得名。[1]
名称与沿革[edit]
社区临近南四路，该路后来改称叶挺西路，社区名称沿用至今。居民委员会的成立日期，该页的概况写作1987年4月24日，历史沿革一栏写作7月24日；2001年5月改称南四社区居民委员会。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
社区东接上圩，西接草洋，南接万顺，北接上塘，面积约0.96平方公里。据该页，有常住3126户、6040人，流动人口三千余人。辖区内有惠阳区公安分局、公路局、农业局、农村信用社总社和区四中、区中心小学等单位，办公地址在莲塘西路。[1]
2022年9月，南四社区获评「惠州市2022年度绿色社区」。[1]
