名称与沿革[edit]
该页写道，宋末的淡水只是人口稀少的小墟，称“上墟”，古井开凿后人口渐多，乾隆初期形成较大集镇，改称淡水墟；社区所在的路是进圩镇的必经之路，故写作上圩。居民委员会于1988年10月成立，2001年改称上圩社区居民委员会。[1]
区域与人口[edit]
社区面积约1平方公里，东边是淡澳河，西边是开城大道北，南边是中山三路，北边是白云五路和金星大道，设6个居民小组。据该页，常住2340户，户籍人口八千余人，外来人口2402人。辖区规划较整齐，有新式住宅小区二十余处，设有叶挺纪念馆和体育馆，办公地址在铁湖南路34号。[2]
2022年9月，上圩社区获评「惠州市2022年度绿色社区」。[1]
