长安镇在广东省肇庆市封开县北部，东北接怀集县，南邻金装镇，西与西北两面同广西贺州市相接。全镇面积约139.04平方千米，下设1个社区居委会、10个村委会；党山山脉自镇内南北向展布，主峰海拔1175米。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

民国年间设长安乡；1954年改为长安区，1958年成立人民公社，1983年复称区，1986年建镇。镇政府驻地的集市长安圩，则是1943年形成的。[1]

地理环境[edit]

镇域东北与怀集县交界，南与金装镇相邻，西、西北与广西贺州市铺门一带接壤，因此被称作封开县的北大门。全镇山林面积14.31万亩，耕地2.34万亩，其中水田20571亩。[1]

党山又名谠山、忠谠山，海拔1175米，为封开县第二高山，与七星顶、巢顶、白马山并称封开四大名山，也是原开建县的最高峰；山体南北长约16千米、东西宽约5千米，山上的天湖原名白鹭池，1969至1970年间筑成谠山水库，并建有三级水电站。「忠谠凝岚」是旧开建八景之一。[1][2]

据第七次全国人口普查，长安镇人口为3.06万人，在封开县各街道乡镇中居第3位。[1]

经济[edit]

镇内依托党山的水头和落差，规划建设抽水蓄能电站，设想装机容量240万千瓦，投资一百多亿元。种植业上，沙塘桔、油栗是各村常见的作物，党山一带还产茶，称「党山云雾茶」。[1][3]

荣誉[edit]

2023年10月，长安镇获肇庆市卫生镇称号；2024年3月被命名为2023年广东省卫生乡镇。[1]
