榄塘社区在金渡镇，位于旧双金公路旁，与圩镇相距2公里，共分12个村民小组[1]。
概况[edit]
总人口3300多人、1100多户，耕地1008亩，另有鱼塘1500亩；村两委干部7人，集体的收入靠出租铺位、发包鱼虾塘和土地[1]。2018年它列入「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」；其罗氏虾在2020年8月被列入首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
建国前归高要七区榄西乡；1958年编入金龙公社，称榄塘大队，次年改隶金渡公社；1983年大队改设榄塘乡，1987年乡改为榄塘村委会，1989年改为管理区，2013年起设榄塘社区居民委员会[1][2]。
