西头社区在金渡镇，位于肇江公路旁，与镇中心相距约1公里，共分12个村民小组，属镇乡结合区[1]。

总人口1800多人、580多户，鱼塘1000亩、耕地530亩，村两委干部7人；集体收入来自厂房和土地铺位出租及鱼塘发包[1]。2026年1月，它获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
建国前属高要三区均字乡，建国后属七区榄西乡；1958年编入金龙公社，称西头大队，次年改隶金渡公社；1983年大队改为乡，1987年乡改为村委会，1989年改为管理区，1998年管理区又改回村委会，2013年起设居委会[1][2]。
