水边社区在金渡镇，与肇庆市黄岗镇相邻，有肇庆二桥与对岸相连，广肇高速公路和双金公路从社区穿过，离金渡圩镇1公里[1]。

全村面积9平方公里，设31个村民小组，人口6800多人，村两委干部10人，村集体经济收入80万元[1]。水边社区的罗氏虾在2020年8月被列入首批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」；2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」[1]。
历史沿革[edit]
建国前属高要三区金水乡，建国后属七区水边乡；1958年编入金龙公社，称水边大队，次年改隶金渡公社；1983年大队改为乡，1987年乡改为村委会，1989年改称水边管理区，1998年又改作村委会，2013年起设居委会[1][2]。
