水口社区在金渡镇西北部，隔江与肇庆市黄岗镇相邻，离金渡圩镇4公里，管理水口、竹园、新村3个自然村[1]。
概况[edit]
村两委干部6人，总人口1850多人，全村面积3平方公里；村民从事端砚雕刻、种植桃花和养殖四大家鱼，竹园自然村被建成生态文明村[1]。桃花在2021年9月被列入第二批「广东省“一村一品、一镇一业”专业村」；2024年1月，社区定为「2023年广东省民主法治示范村（社区）」；同年4月进入「广东省第一批乡村振兴示范村」创建名单[1]。
宋隆基闸建在本社区的联安围上[3]。
历史沿革[edit]
1949年以前属高要三区北约乡，后改属金北乡，1949年以后属七区水口乡；1958年编入金龙公社，称水口大队，次年改隶金渡公社；1983年大队改为乡，1987年乡改为村委会，1989年改为管理区，1998年管理区又改回村委会，2014年起设居委会[1][2]。
