银村是乐城镇下辖的行政村，位于省道264线旁，距乐城圩镇3公里、距高要城区48公里；面积约5平方公里，辖4个自然村。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1956年建高级社，属南源乡；1958年并入乐城公社，为银村大队；1983年大队改为乡，1987年转为村民委员会，1989年又改设管理区，1998年撤去管理区，称银村村民委员会，沿用至今。[2]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网（未注明年份）记载总人口2180人。村民外出务工，并种植水稻、玉桂、沙糖桔、佛手；在镇里协助下引进了一家皮业公司，增加了集体收入和就业。村域内有高岭土和金矿石资源。[1]
