历史沿革[edit]
1956年建高级社，属端源乡；1958年并入乐城公社，为息源大队；1983年大队改为乡，1987年转为村民委员会，1989年又改设管理区，1998年重设息源村委会，沿用至今。[3]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网（未注明年份）记载总人口1760人；百度百科作户籍人口1760人。村里水田少，以稻为主，山地种植玉桂、沙糖桔和佛手，村民多外出务工，也靠这几种作物取得收入，并推行连片种植以提高产量。[1][2]
