大寨村是广东省茂名市信宜市白石镇下辖的行政村，位于白石镇北部。据博雅地名网所载，全村设33个村民小组，在册904户、3532人，总面积10.82平方千米，耕地1617.5亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村名来历：村四面环山，当地人称这种地形为垌寨，因垌寨面积大、聚居的人多而得名。[1]

村级建置的演变如下：民国年间归入白石上乡第十三堡；解放初年设大寨十一生产队，1952年称大寨生产队。1983年时，改设大寨乡政府。到1987年时，称大寨村民委员会。至1990年，成立管理区办事处。最终在1999年，复称村民委员会至今。[1]

文化[edit]

  • 2023年5月，获广东省爱卫会授予「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
  • 2019年9月，列入2018年广东省「民主法治示范村（社区）」创建单位名单。[1]
