永隆村属广东省茂名市信宜市怀乡镇，位于镇域西部，是镇下辖的24个行政村之一。[1]据博雅地名网所载，村内设15个村民小组，登记813户、共3960人，村域面积4.5平方千米，耕地约1400亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

传说古时有位商人在此开店，盼生意兴隆，便取名永隆。[2]

民国年间隶怀乡卫；1953年立永隆乡；1958年改编为永隆大队。此后乡政府、管理区办事处等名称几度更替，1999年起定称永隆村民委员会。[1]

  • 2021年12月，经广东省爱卫会评定为「2021年广东省卫生村」。[1]

经济[edit]

村里种植水稻、玉米、木薯，副业和特色产业有竹器编织、毛织、荔枝、龙眼；据博雅地名网，上一年全村经济总收入约1596万元（年份未注明）。[1]

村里大力发展毛纺织业以增加收入，并引进竹器企业，开辟工业发展的新路。[1]
