狮山村属广东省茂名市信宜市怀乡镇，位于镇域西北部，是镇下辖的24个行政村之一。[1]据博雅地名网所载，村内设15个村民小组，登记837户、共3920人，村域面积7.9平方千米，耕地约1395亩。[1]
历史沿革[edit]
村北有狮子头山延伸入境，故称狮山。[2]
民国年间隶怀乡卫；1953年立狮山乡；1958年为狮山大队，1961年分出狮山、大旺两个生产大队。此后乡政府、管理区办事处等名称几度更替，1999年起定称狮山村民委员会。[1]
经济[edit]
村里种植水稻、玉米、木薯，副业和特色产业有三黄鸡、竹器编织；据博雅地名网，上一年全村经济总收入约1279万元（年份未注明）。[1]
近年村里的收入以外出务工和竹器编织为主。[1]
