横冲村是信宜市怀乡镇所辖的行政村，在镇域南部。[1]据博雅地名网所载，村内设12个村民小组，登记241户、共1078人，村域面积3.6平方千米，耕地约279亩。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

村子南北两面有山，一条山埇横贯东西，原写作横埇，后谐音写成横冲。[2]

原属中垌大队；1980年中垌大队拆分为横冲、中垌、旺禾三个大队。此后乡政府、管理区办事处等名称几度更替，1999年起定称横冲村民委员会。[1]

  • 2023年5月，经广东省爱卫会评定为「2022年广东省卫生村」。[1]

村里种植水稻、玉米、木薯，副业和特色产业有竹器编织；据博雅地名网，上一年全村经济总收入约96万元（年份未注明）。[1]
