历史沿革[edit]

建国之初属曲塘乡，1959年时作曲塘、央村两个大队；1960年时改作为央村、横埇、陈村山三个大队，1963年并作央村大队。1983年起叫央村乡，1987年时作管理区，1999年起建村委会。^[1]

村中种植的农作物主要有水稻、番薯、花生、糖蔗、北运菜。^[1]

下属自然村包括央村、南山仔、陈村山、横埇等。^[1]

2026年1月获评「广东省第二批“百千万工程”典型村」；2019年9月入选「2018年广东省“民主法治示范村（社区）”创建单位」名单。^[1]
