新垌村是广东省茂名市信宜市池洞镇下辖的行政村，在镇域北部，下分21个村民小组。[1]

历史沿革[edit]

1958年并入贺垌大队，1962年分出，单独设新垌大队；1983年改为乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1989年设管理区办事处，1999年定名新垌村民委员会，一直用到现在。[1]

地名由来[edit]

约三百多年前，方姓、祝姓的人先到此耕地，后来在这片垌里新盖了几间屋，取名新垌。[1]

人口与经济[edit]

博雅地名网（未注明年份）载：全村在册621户、2268人，总面积5平方千米，耕地650亩；年平均气温16.5℃至22.8℃，年降雨量约1477至1941毫米，属南亚热带季风气候。主要作物为水稻和香蕉，特色收入是养殖和竹器编织，上一年村农村经济总收入1195万元。[1]
