历史沿革[edit]
1953年设旺沙堡大队，1983年建乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1989年又叫管理区办事处，1999年定名旺沙堡村民委员会，一直用到现在。[1]
地名由来[edit]
这里从前形似一座大碉堡，土质全是沙土，所以叫旺沙堡。博雅地名网的页面把它写作旺沙村。[1]
