历史沿革[edit]
1953年设旺蕃大队，1983年改为乡，1987年起设村民委员会，1989年又叫管理区办事处，1999年定名旺藩村民委员会，一直用到现在。[1]
地名由来[edit]
原名白凡，因忌讳「白」字不吉利，改为旺凡，又按音写作旺蕃，今作旺藩。[1]
人口与经济[edit]
博雅地名网（未注明年份）载：全村在册240户、830人，总面积4平方千米，耕地340亩；年平均气温16.5℃至22.8℃，年降雨量约1477至1941毫米，属南亚热带季风气候。主要作物为水稻和香蕉，靠外出劳务，上一年村农村经济总收入350万元。[1]

- 2023年5月，该村获广东省爱卫会颁发的「2022年广东省卫生村」称号。[1]
